Carl and Amy Narvestad

Amy and Carl Narvestad were civic minded residents of the Granite Falls area. He had a passion for flying, and she had a passion for books. Their contribution to the preservation of local history is evident in Ithe books they wrote, including “The History of Yellow Medicine County,” “The History of Granite Falls” and “in 1992, "A Century of Light -A history of the Granite Falls Municipal Electric Utility.” Carl wrote the 75-year history of Valdres Samband in 1974, while Amy completed her last major work, “Letters to Kathleen” in 2001. This Narvestad scholarship is given in their memory.
