John E. Donahue Scholarship
John E. Donahue grew up in Jeffers Minnesota and remained in southwestern Minnesota his entire life. He modeled his own beliefs by taking correspondence courses in mechanics. He worked for the city of Montevideo for 35 years, retiring as the superintendent of the street department. Mr. Donahue was also a very kind and giving person, willing to help out where and when he could. He passed away September 1, 2004. As a legacy to his strong work ethic, his willingness to help others, and his strong belief in the trades industry, this scholarship was set up to encourage and assist students who chose technical education as their path of choice.
